RAW, TIFF, FITS, XISF, and exports

These guides describe product and validation workflows. Software access, beta applications and diagnostic uploads are not currently open. Pricing is undecided.

Inputs and outputs

Common inputs include RAW, TIFF, JPEG, PNG, and BMP. FITS supports scientific and calibration data. Outputs include 16-bit TIFF, 32-bit float TIFF, float FITS, JPEG, and PNG. Admission depends on the workflow.

Where XISF fits

Node-based processing on macOS, Windows, and iPadOS reads XISF, which can also be read as a calibration master. It is not an additional Light/Dark/Flat/Bias stacking-frame type. Importing an image does not reconstruct another application’s complete processing history.

Linear identity

A file extension alone does not establish linearity. Preserve floating-point data and processing identity; distinguish display stretching from pixel transforms written to the output.
